Dr. Waseem Ahmed BMedSci, BM BS, mRCGP

Dr Waseem Ahmed is a General Practitioner at Tudor Practice in Stockland Green, where he leads the Physical Activity Clinical Champions Programme and champions movement as a core part of routine medical care. Building on more than a decade of frontline experience since qualifying as a Medical Doctor in 2009 and becoming a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2013, he combines broad primary care expertise with advanced training in lifestyle-focused practice.
Dr Ahmed holds lifestyle medicine certification from Red Whale and is a Member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, reflecting his strong commitment to preventative, evidence-based approaches to long-term conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. He also serves as a Designated Prescribing Practitioner and has completed the GP Train the Trainer Course, enabling him to support the development of other healthcare professionals alongside his clinical work, regularly providing teaching to medical students from Aston Medical School.
As the Physical Activity Clinical Champions programme, he is involved in educating other healthcare professionals on the importance of physical activity in everyday routine healthcare and is involved in shaping the local active partnership in West Birmingham, in conjunction with Birmingham City Council Public health to improve physical activity at population level.
Dr. Ahmed is a member of the British Islamic Medical Association, being involved in a number of teams including the lifesavers programme as well as cancer awareness and Ramadan project to address the unique challenges faced by Muslim patients and staff in healthcare.
Known for his compassionate, motivating communication style, Dr Ahmed works with patients from diverse backgrounds to build confidence, reduce health risks, and improve overall wellbeing through active living.
